MoU Unpatti – Karolinska Institute Swedia

The signing of MoU between Karolinska Insitute of Swedia and Universitas Pattimura for the research cooperation in Marine Biomedic, students exchange program and research topics exchange was carried out recently.

Unpatti - Karolinska MoURector of Universitas Pattimura, Prof. Dr. M. J. Saptenno, SH., M.Hum highly endorsed the cooperation. The representative from Karolinska Institute are Prof. John Meewella and Prof. Laszlo Szekey who are both experts in Hermatological Malignancies at the Department of Medicine Solna.

MoU Unpatti & PT. Telkom Indonesia: Scholarships and Recruitment Plans

On 24 March 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universitas Pattimura (Unpatti) and PT. Telkom Indonesia was signed. Based on the MoU signed, both parties agree to support each other in the development of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (three areas of development for Higher Education in Indonesia, e.g., academics, research and community service). A realization of this support is that PT. Telkom Indonesia would provide a four-semester scholarships scheme to the selected students of Unpatti. The criteria for the scholarships award were based on special qualification standards and there would be a priority to students from low-income families. The amount of the planned scholarships scheme is Rp. 3 million for each student each semester.

Rector & Telkom GMIn his speech, rector of Unpatti, Prof. M. J. Saptenno offers his gratitude towards PT. Telkom Indonesia in supporting the education development of Unpatti. Rector also appreciates the plan of PT. Telkom Indonesia to recruit the competent graduates of Unpatti to work at PT. Telkom Indonesia, as this recruit agreement is a part of the signed MoU.

Human capital management director of PT. Telkom Indonesia, Herdy Harman added that PT. Telkom Indonesia has entered digitalization era several years ago and PT. Telkom Indonesia now focuses on increasing the service quality in data connection by providing faster data transfer rate and better access availability. In the occasion, PT. Telkom Indonesia through its branch general manager for Maluku region, Lonely Mangaranap informed that PT. Telkom of Maluku region would carry out testing of a 500 MB/s data transfer bandwidth of the Internet access at Unpatti. The test would be carried out for a duration of 2 weeks.

The event was attended by PT. Telkom Indonesia staffs; M. Firdaus (EVP of Telkom Regional VII), Y. Martin (SGM HCBP), Nur Hassim Haji Rusdi (SGM CDC), Lonely B. Mangaranap (GM of Maluku region), Rama Gusiharto (SO General Affairs), Ms. Sartika and other staffs. The staffs of Unpatti; Prof. J. W. Mosse (Fourth Vice Rector), Prof. Matinahoru (Dean of Agriculture Faculty) J. Madubun, M.Si (Dean of Social and Politic Sciences Faculty), Prof. A. Pattiselano (First Vice Director of Post Graduate Program), Ms. D. J. Matruty (Second Vice Dean of Economy Faculty) and R. Talaohu (Head of Community Service Institution of Unpatti – LPKM Unpatti). At the end of the event, there were souvenirs exchanging between Unpatti and PT. Telkom Indonesia and the symbolic presentation of the amount of the scholarships.
