TVRI Ambon – LemLit Unpatti Cooperation

The event was opened by the secretary of the research institution (LemLit) of Universitas Pattimura who acted to represent the head of the research institution who were unable to attend the event since the head was on an official trip outside Ambon. The secretary thanking the TVRI Ambon for their choice in using the research institution of Unversitas Pattimura in carried out the survey regarding audience satisfaction regarding TV Programs of the TVRI Ambon. The secretary hoped that there would be a future cooperation between the two institutions and elaborated that the survey results could be used to improve the services of TVRI Programs and it could provide benefits in the development plan of the TVRI Ambon. It is related to the improvement of TVRI programs in the future especially in covering the events in Ambon City and Maluku Province.

The speech from TVRI Ambon was presented by the head of Research and Development of Public Broadcasting Institution of TVRI Ambon. In the speech the speaker thanked and appreciated the team of research institution of Universitas Pattimura for their cooperation and hard work given in conducting the survey. The survey answered questions which had been asked for a long time by TVRI Ambon regarding the quality of TV programs presented to the public. The quality of the program is a responsibility towards public satisfaction. The survey results would be used as a base in the planning and decision making of TVRI Ambon in the future. In addition, the speaker elaborated that the results would be used to match the central goverment policy regarding public broadcasting service which currently is focussed towards Eastern Indonesia Region. In closing the speech, the speaker expressed the TVRI opinion that the institution is satisfied with the outcome produced from the survey which was conducted by the research institution of Universitas Pattimura regarding the quality of services / programs of TVRi Ambon. At the end, the outcome would be used to improve the role of TVRI Ambon towards the community in Maluku. (J. Tubalawony).

Cooperation Between Unpatti and the National Police

Monday, 25 April 2016. Rector of Unpatti, Prof. Saptenno hosted a meeting with the visiting Drs. Budi Siswanto, MH, Police Senior Commissioner, the head of Education and Training Bureau for Human Resources of National Police Headquarter. The purpose of the visit of Mr. Siswanto is to consolidate a signing of cooperation MoU between these two institutions.

rector and mr. siswantoThe cooperation scopes will covers areas such as Education and Training, Analysis, Research and Institutional Developments, Availability of Teaching Staff and Experts, and Others sectors that would be determined later.

In this context, cooperation between Unpatti and National Police has been established before at a district level with the District Headquarter of National Police in Maluku. It is shown by existence of several police staffs registered as students at Unpatti. The level of cooperation would be leverage to the National level through the new planned MoU between Unpatti and National Police Headquarter. Both parties agreed to schedule the signing of MoU between 16 – 20 May 2016.

In relation to this planned MoU, Rector stated that currently there are more then ten staffs of District Police Headquarter which registered as undergraduate students at Faculty of Law of Unpatti.

Furthermore, in the area of higher education development, currently Universitas Pattimura has received the agreement to establish several extended undergraduate programs at Southwest Maluku in Law, Teacher Training, Mathematics, Accounting, English, and Animal Husbandry. In Aru Islands the extended undergraduate programs are in Law, Accounting, Mathematics, English, Sports, Health and Recreational. The opening of the extended programs will provide opportunity to the development of human resources include Police officers who work in the areas.

It is hoped that the planned cooperation between both parties would produce an integrated synergy in serving the activities of the community.
