Acknowledgement and Bonus for Outstanding Students Achievements

Ambon, 12 November 2017. Grateful for the achievements of “Pattimura Muda” in the field of art and culture, last night a special gathering was held at the residence of the Vice Governor, Karpan-Ambon. UNPATTI students have achieved results both from national and international level, achievement of the winner of the National Student MTQ contest held in Malang and one gold, two silver and five bronze medals at POMNas XV in Makassar. At the International Level of the Asia Pacific Choir Games Grand Prix Colombo October 27-28, Hotumese Choir with Conductor Michael Mailuhu managed to obtained 3 gold where 2 gold earned from 1 from Ethnic Category and 1 from Gospel category, and 1 gold as Grand Champion. It was informed by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and chairman of BAPOMI Maluku, Dr. Jusuf Madubun in his report. The brilliant results obtained by Hotumese Choir has earned a recommendation to participate in similar activities in Italy next year.

karpan event 2017Students who won and get a medal are given bonuses from Rector in the form of a free tuition fee (UKT) for one semester if they have academic index above 2.75. The Rector reminded that not to be complacent for the achievements, but to continue to practice and explore the potential for better achievement in the academic field. The same thing was also said by Vice Governor of Maluku, Zeth Sahuburua, SH, MH., That the achievements that have been achieved in the field of art and culture, can be maintained and improved while achieving also in the academic field because in the future competition in the field of Human Resources is very tight. Acknowledgments delivered by Dr. Sahuburua to the Rector, Chairman of BAPOMI / Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Chairman of POMNAS Contingent and Hotumese Choir Official Vecky Ruhunlela who also hold position as Vice Dean III of FISIP UNPATTI and Kadispora of Maluku Province Semmy Huwae and Hotumese Choir Conductor Michael Mailuhu. Rector asked Ruhunlela to immediately proceed with cadre and recruit of new member for existence and improvement of Hotumese Student Choir.

Also attending the event were the representatives of Pangdam XVI Pattimura, Representatives of the Ambon State Polytechnic, Vice Rectors, Deans, Vice Dean, Head of Student Affairs and Public Relations, Hotumese Choir Team and outstanding athletes and other invitees.
