Public Lecture by The Minister of Home Affairs

Mendagri & RectorOn 22 October 2016, the Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Tjahjo Kumolo presented a public lecture toward approximately 450 students of Pattimura University. The public lecture titled “Development of Region Autonomy”. This event was held at the Hall of Rectorat building which located at the second floor.

The minister added “the duty of Mr. President and the Nawacita program is aimed to build better governmental management rules, an efficient relation between central and regional government, upholding the law, speed up the bureaucracy reformation program and strengthen regional autonomy rights”.

Rector of Pattimura University in his speech at the event, invite students and other guests to listen and learn the content of the public lecture in order to understand the concept of regional autonomy rights correctly.


Two New Professors Inaugurated at Unpatti

On 7 October 2016 Pattimura University had inaugurated 2 professors who come from two fields of studies. They are Prof. Dr. Frans Thomas, M.Pd got the professorships in Bahasa Indonesia education of Teacher Training and Educational Science faculty and Prof. Dr. Ir. Debby Amelia Jemima Selanno, M.Sc, professorships in Coastal and Ocean Resources of Fishery and Marine Science of Pattimura University.

Professors at UnpattiInauguration event was held in the Hall of Rectorate Building and it was attended by civitas academica of Pattimura University and representatives from related governmental departments.

Prof. Dr. Frans Thomas, M.Pd presented the inaugural speech titled “Analytic Formula on Critical Issue in Socio-cultural Implementation (Multi-function Linguistic Approach).

Prof. Dr. Ir. Debby Amelia Jemima Selanno, M.Sc presented her inaugural speech titled “A Strategy for Urban Waste Management”.

Prof. Debby eleborated that in order to to have a clean environment of Ambon city in order to support a sustainable development for the city then a waste management, control and handling which based on the support of the community is needed which form a collaboration between the community and the government.

In his congratulations speech, Rector of Pattimura University, Prof. Dr. M. J. Saptenno, SH., M.Hum stated that currently there are 47 professors at the university added with 2 who are inaugurated today and hoped that in the future there would be more lecturers who could get their professorships hence they could provide more contribution to the university.
