The 23th of April 2015 is an important date for University Pattimura since at that date, the university celebrated its 52nd anniversary. At the 52nd celebration event, the university also held its first part of the annual graduation events. There were 1824 graduants were officially graduated by the university. The graduation event is an triumphant event not only for Universitas Pattimura, but also for the graduants themselves, families and and especially for their parents.
In his graduation speech, the Rector of Universitas Pattimura, Prof. Dr. Thomas Pentury, M.Si (picured in the right) stated that the processes of birth, growing and become mature in the span of 52 years, Universitas Pattimura has gone through dynamic processes and the university is developing by the help of God. This process is also supported by its civitas academica and the community. The sequence of historical facts that have been through has formed self-character and never-surrender effort to move-on based on the spirit of “Hotumese”: triumph and firmly moving forward and thriving towards the challenges. Furthermore, he stated that, the results shown in the graduation event is an reflection of us in moving and stepping forward with a full awareness, responsibility, idealism and a strong spirit to manage and stabilize the position and strategical roles of the university, especially in institutional structure, academic performances and strong cultural effort to improve academics quality.
At this April graduation event, there were total of 1842 graduants were graduated. This consists of 82 postgraduate graduants, 96 graduants from Law Faculty, 98 graduants from Social Science and Politics Science Faculty. 179 graduants from Economics Faculty, 447 graduants from Teacher Traning Faculty, 728 graduants from Special Teacher Training Program, 27 graduants from Agriculture Faculty, 56 graduants form Fishery and Oceanology Faculty, 42 graduants from Engineering Faculty, 52 graduants from Basic Sciences Faculty and 17 graduants from Medical Faculty.
